Students are required to have 1080 instructional hours per school year. The following dates and times will be used as make-up for the instructional hours missed due to inclement weather.
Starting Friday, March 1
School will begin at 8:00 a.m. Buses will run 5 minutes ahead of schedule.
Breakfast will start at 7:40 a.m.
School Start Time beginning March 1: 8:00 a.m.
School Dismissal Time 3:15 (We will have Wednesday 2:00 dismissals through March 20.).
Starting Wednesday, March 27
No Wednesday 2:00 dismissals through the end of the school year.

- March 11 – Full Day of School
- May 23 – Full Day of School
- May 24 – Last Day of School, 1:00 Dismissal
Why not add the missed days to the end of the year?
Because adding missed days to the end of the year interferes with the NM GAP Program that begins after Memorial Day. The GAP Program is a transition program where the current preschool students (incoming kindergarten students) attend kindergarten for two weeks to help them learn kindergarten routines and feel more comfortable with their transition to full days in the fall. Additionally, adding days to the end of the year would affect the New Sharon Child Care and Preschool, and interferes with summer sports schedules.
