North Mahaska Community School is currently hiring for the following positions:
K-12 Special Education Paraeducator
The North Mahaska Community School District is seeking a qualified Elementary Paraeducator to provide instructional and behavioral support to students with disabilities in a variety of educational settings. The Paraeducator will assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), promote student independence, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Paraeducator certification or related experience in education or special education preferred.
The successful candidate will demonstrate patience, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team committed to student growth and success.

Substitute Bus Driver
- Looking for drivers to provide safe and orderly transportation for students to and from school.
- Must have or obtain a Type B commercial driver’s license with all applicable endorsements – we will help with this process.
- Must pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate as well pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

- Split Hours: approximately 6:30 am to 8:30 am & 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
- Annual Salary is $13,091
- Health Insurance Benefit—single coverage for employee paid by district
