Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union released the Class 1A softball pairing Wednesday afternoon. North Mahaska will host an opening round game on Monday, July 8. They will host South Iowa Cedar league foe Lynnville-Sully. They have met them twice this season winning both. The winner will travel to Southeast Warren, who is ranked No. 7 in Class 1A. This game will be played on Wednesday, July 10.
Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
Also in the North Mahaska half of the bracket is East Union hosting Murray and Montezuma hosting Melcher-Dallas. The winners will meet at a site to be determined on July 10.
The lower half of the bracket has Janesville hosting North Tama and BCLUW hosting Baxter. The Janesville winner will go to No. 12 Clarksville on July 10. The BCLUW winner will travel to BGM.
Regional semifinals are scheduled for Southeast warren and Clarksville on Friday, July 12. The regional final will be played on Monday, July 15 at the site of the highest-ranking remaining team. The winner will advance to the state tournament.
