Former NM graduate Cooper Drost returned to present and demonstrate some of the things going on in the Indian Hills CC LASER and Optics program. Cooper presented to the Freshman class some basics about lasers and the job opportunities available for Laser Techs. Before graduating, Cooper was offered a job at the NIF LASER facility (National Ignition Facility). This is the largest, most powerful laser in the world and is housed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California.
