North Mahaska CSD would like to reassure our families and community that operations are continuing as normal here at North Mahaska. We have heard several rumors that activities at the school are being cancelled. The only activities that have been canceled are those by other entities such as state speech, state large group music, the indoor track meet at Grinnell, and limitations to the district FFA competition. Again, all of these activities have been canceled by other entities and not North Mahaska.
It is important to note that the Iowa Department of Public Health is not currently advising any school closures. We are operating as normal and will continue to do so until otherwise advised by the Department of Public Health or Department of Public Education.
Please rest assured we have increased our cleaning and sanitizing efforts as a precautionary measures.
We can all help our students and relieve the anxiety and stress they may feel from this unprecedented situation by maintaining normal schedules and increasing our diligence in hand washing.
