Senior Maddie McKay and junior Addie Schilling each scored 16 points and Natalie LaRue added 14 to help the North Mahaska girls to a third-place finish at the Bear Classic Relays at BGM Friday. Lynnville-Sully won the meet with 14 points and Belle Plaine was second with 121. NM finished with 92.
North Mahaska picked up a pair of victories. In the only event the Warhawks doubled scored, junior Zoe Deucore won the 100 hurdles in 17.72 seconds and McKay ran third in 19.14. Schilling picked up the other first place going over the high jump bar at 4-feet 8-inches. McKay was second in the long jump with a leap of 13-11.5. Schilling was third in the 800 meters in 2:46.11 to wrap up her scoring.
North Mahaska picked up three third place finishes in the relays. Names of runners were listed in the results. The 3,200-meter team ran in 12:27.77, 1,600-meter team finished in 5:08.77 and the distance medley team ran third in 5:25.48.
