North Mahaska did not have to use the long ball Wednesday in its South Iowa Cedar League softball game. The Warhawks have been hitting homeruns with regularity but, Wednesday they used 11 hits and took advantage of two Keota errors to post a 10-0 five-inning victory.
Morgan Hudson worked from the circle and allowed three hits and walked one batter allowing her defense behind her to make the plays.
Offensively, Zoe Deucore continued her hitting with a single and two doubles to drive in a run. Breanna Fogle hit a single to drive in two more. Cali Sampson rapped a single and a double and Vanessa Murphy had a single and RBI.
NM took their first lead in the bottom of the first on three rums then was held scoreless until the fifth when they plated seven ending the contest early.
