North Mahaska lost its opening match to host BGM Sept. 27, then ripped off three consecutive wins to capture the South Iowa Cedar League match.
North Mahaska did damage at the service line behind the ace serving of Caitlin Sanders and Morgan Hudson, who recorded 11 of the team’s 19 aces. Sanders was 18-of-20 with six aces. Hudson had five on 15-for-16. Hudson was credited with eight assists.
Kaitlyn VanDonselaar had 14 assists. Sanders had nine kills and Layla Hargis put down eight kills.
Zoe Deucore dug up 23 balls, Carlie Scholtus and Hargis had 17, Jalyana Shipley with 11, and VanDonselaar and Sanders each had nine.
North Mahaska improved to 12-11 overall.
