No. 8 North Mahaska did not let a jump to playing Class 3A Chariton (9-3) change their game plan. The Warhawks broke away from a 30-23 halftime lead to score 16 points in the third quarter while limiting Chariton to two enroute to posting a 58-40 victory.
Three Warhawks (11-1) scored in double figures. Layla Hargis led the way with a double-double earning 19 points and 13 rebounds with two steals. Addie Schilling, on the strength of 3-for-4 shooting from the arc finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a block. Her sister Breckyn scored 13 points. Kaitlyn VanDonselaar finished with five points.
