North Mahaska outhit HLV 14-3 Friday night and scored an 8-3 South Iowa Cedar League win. The Warhawks collected seven runs batted in and limited HLV to three hits.
NM scored once in the first inning the added a pair of runs in the top of the fourth. HLV scored their three runs in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game. The Warhawks scored a run in the fifth and four in the sixth.
Jalayna Shipley had the big bat for the Warhawks with two singles and two doubles and an RBI. Regan Grewe drove in three runs on a single and double. Colby Sampson also clubbed a pair of singles.
Morgan Hudson gave up just one earned run on two hits and a walk. She fanned 13.
