North Mahaska opened the 2022 volleyball campaign with a long night of play at Albia. NM played five matches finishing 3-2 overall. They opened with South Iowa Cedar League foe Montezuma winning 21-19-21-10, then went three sets with Moravia winning the match 19-21, 21-8, 15-7. Southeast Warren won 21-15, 21-15 and NM wrapped up pool play against Seymour winning 17-21, 21-7, 15-3. The Warhawks faced Albia in another three-set match falling 14-21, 21-16, 13-15.

Senior captain Caitlyn Sanders finished the night with 29 assists, seven kills and three aces on 25-of-26 serving. Sophomores Regan Grewe led the team in kills with 15, Breckyn Schilling had 14 and Sydney Andersen had 12. Kayla Readshaw recorded seven as did freshman Abby Van Weelden.
