North Mahaska’s boy’s cross country team has jumped into the top 10 of the Iowa Association of Track Coaches’ rankings. Senior Lane Harmon is ranked 29th in the rankings released this week.
Mahaska has picked up wins at Sigourney and English Valleys in their past three meets after placing third at the Pekin sponsored race at Wildwood Park in Ottumwa to open the season. The Warhawks will have another test Sept. 15 when they travel to Lynnville for a meet.
According to Varsity Bound, Brayden Veiseth has the 21st fastest time this season in Class 1A at 17 minutes 33 seconds. He posted the time at Colfax-Mingo. Harmon ranks 23rd with a time of 17:39, a mark he posted at Sigourney. Nate Sampson comes in at 38th after clocking a 17:59 at Colfax-Mingo.
