It took just two minutes for North Mahaska to set the tone for their nonconference basketball match up with PCM. The visiting Warhawks took a six point lead twice then went on a n 11-4 run to close out the first quarter enroute to a 75-46 win.
Junior Nolan Andersen hit for eight points in the first quarter and senior Nash Smith added 12 more as NM led 23-10 after one period. They extended the lead to 20 at halftime and made an 18-8 run in the third to seal the victory.
North Mahaska forced 20 PCM turnovers and had a solid shooting night. Andersen and Smith each hit for 15 points. Seniors Lane Harmon and Ethan Huffman added 14 and 11 points respectively. Braden Steel scored five with nine rebounds.
North Mahaska, 4-2, head to Montezuma Tuesday and plat at Tri-County Friday.
