North Mahaska took a three set South Iowa Cedar League volleyball victory Thursday winning 25-14, 25-19, 25-11. The victory puts North Mahaska in third place in the league with a 4-1 mark. Belle Plaine leads at 6-0 and Sigourney second at 5-1.
North Mahaska was able to take advantage of Tri-County hitting errors and took control early with a 19-10 lead and allowing just four more points all earned via sideouts.
Tri-County served just 84.8 percent on the night with a pair of aces. Ally Livezey recorded a pair of aces in the second set and Libby Hargis had another in the final set. No stats for North Mahaska was available at press time.
Tri-County’s Lily Randall recorded nine of her team’s 11 kills and led in digs with 10. Regan Molyneux had 10 assists and seven digs. Aubrey Zittergruen and Aaliyah Cooper had the service aces for the Trojans.
North Mahaska hosts Keota Monday and Colfax-Mingo on Tuesday.
