North Mahaska’s boys saw their high school golf season end at sectionals at Gateway Recreation in Monroe Wednesday. The Warhawks placed sixth in the Class 2A district qualifier. It was also the last meet for seniors Jack Kelderman, Lucas Nunnikhoven and Hunter Wernli.

Pella Christian, PCM and West Branch qualified as a team and will play at Prairie Knolls on Monday at 10 a.m. Pella Christian shot a 7-over par 295 for the title. PCM shot 303 and West Branch 317. North Mahaska was sixth with a 353.

Junior Jaxon Vanderveer led North Mahaska with an 8-over 80. Freshman Cooper Sampson shot a 90, Nunnikhoven 91 and freshman Travis Castaneda finished with a 92. Wernli and Kelderman carded a 95 and 96 respectively.
