Maddie Doonan and Regan Grewe each drove in four runs to lead North Mahaska past Twin cedars 13-3 on Tuesday. Grewe doubled in the sixth inning, scoring two runs, and hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.

North Mahaska got on the board in the top of the first inning scoring two. Twin Cedars cut the lead in half in the bottom of the first for a 2-1 NM lead. After a scoreless second inning, the Warhawks added three in the third and single runs in the fourth and fifth to lead 7-1. Twin Cedars put up a score in the bottom of the fifth to give NM a 7-2 lead.

North Mahaska blew the game wide open with six runs in the top of the sixth. TC scored a run in the sixth, but the game ended on the 10-run rule.

Jolan Fogle earned the win for North Mahaska. She surrendered 10 hits and four runs over six innings, striking out one and walking four.

Khloe French took the loss for Twin cedars. She went six innings, surrendering 13 runs (10 earned) on 10 hits, striking out three and walking seven.

North Mahaska collected 10 hits in the game. All but one player picked up at least one hit.

Grewe, Doonan and Kaylia Shipman were a force together in the lineup. They combined for five hits and 10 RBI. Olivia Ridegway, Doonan and Shipman each scored three runs and Grewe scored twice.

Twin Cedars garnered eight hits in the game. Ami Mockenhaupt hit a single with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Alli Reed had two hits

North Mahaska, 14-2, is scheduled to host Keota Wednesday, go to Lynnville-Sully Thursday, then hosts HLV/TC Friday.
