North Mahaska scored 14 runs on 15 hits Thursday against Lynnville-Sully, but hits and runs were not forthcoming Friday when HLV/Ti-County came to town. The visiting Warriors scored three runs in the first inning then added insurance runs in the fifth and sixth en route to a 5-3 victory.

HLV/Tri-County outhit the Warhawks 8-6 and took advantage of three Warhawk miscues. The
Warriors got on the board in the top of the first inning when Ema Roberts reached on an error and stole second then scored after Ayla Hall singled. Reagan Molyneux walked and Erilea Kupka flew out moving the runners up a base. Hall and Molyneux would eventually score.

In North Mahaska’s half of the first inning Olivia Ridgeway singled and later scored on a pass ball. Neither team could find the plate through the next three innings
Randall earned the win for HLV/Tri-County going seven innings. She gave up six hits and three runs (two earned, striking out six and walking one.

Regan Grewe led things off in the circle for North Mahaska and took the loss. The starter allowed eight hits and five runs (two earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out two and walking five. Jolan Fogle threw in relief. She went one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out none and walking none.
Grewe, Ridgeway, Kaylia Shipman, Maddie Doonan, Bailee Bandstra, and Kayla Readshaw each collected one hit for North Mahaska. Grewe and Bandstra each drove in one run.

Molyneux and Kupka each collected two hits for HLV/Tri-County. Molyneux, Hall, Randall, and Kupka each drove in one run.

North Mahaska falls to 16-3 on the season. They travel to Montezuma Monday then hosts Baxter Tuesday in a doubleheader. They host Colfax-Mingo on Wednesday and goes to Grand View Christian on Thursday.
