Freshman Macie Little added another title to her wrestling resume with the 130-pound crown at the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Invitational on Friday. She was the lone North Mahaska wrestler to compete, and her 22 accumulated points gave her a 15th place in the team standings.
Little, 12-1 on the season, opened with byes in her first two rounds. She faced EBF’s Olivia Rupe in the semifinals and took just 18 seconds to dispose of the Rocket and advance to the finals match.
Louisa-Muscatine’s Tori Hansen, who had pinned her way to the finals, challenged Little before the young North Mahaska girl scored a 6-5 decision to stand on top of the podium.
