We are excited to share with you that our Boys’ Cross Country Team and Aly Steil qualified for the State Cross County Meet on Friday, October 28, 2022 in Fort Dodge. This is the first time the meet will be held on Friday rather than on Saturday. Aly is scheduled to run at 10:30 and the boys’ team at 11:15. We have the cross country participants, staff members who are parents of those participating, Coach Streebin, several students, and other staff members who plan to attend the State Cross Country Meet to support the Team and Aly. In addition, we also have two teachers who are chaperoning the FFA trip to Nationals and several FFA students gone on Friday as well. This leaves us seriously short of substitutes to cover classrooms as well as a large decrease in student attendance. In keeping tradition consistent with entire teams making state appearances, we encourage Warhawks to attend and show their support! Therefore, we are canceling school for Friday, October 28, 2022.
We will still plan on providing the opportunity for students to attend the 8th Grade Career Day at Indian Hills if they so choose. It will be the parents’ responsibility to have your student to the school by 8:15 on Oct. 28. The school will transport them to Indian Hills. NM staff will be chaperoning this trip. They will be returning to school at approximately 2:15. It is the parents’ responsibility to plan to pick up their student by 2:15 from the school. We will be sending out an additional email and google form to determine the number of students who would still be interested in attending the Career Day.
