North Mahaska junior Breckyn Schilling was named to all-state teams this week. The Iowa Sports Writers Association and the Iowa Girls Coaches Association each named Schilling to their respective third team making her one of the top 24 girls in Class 2A.
The latest announcement adds to her accolades as she has been named to the Class 2A Southeast Iowa All-District basketball team by the IGBCA. It is her third consecutive honor to the Southeast Iowa team. She was a unanimous first team selection to the South Iowa Cedar League.
Schilling played in all 24 games for North Mahaska and led the team in points (359) including going over the 1,000 mark in her career. She was 33.2 percent from the floor including 25.8 percent from 3-point range. She shot 67.3 percent from the free throw line.
She led NM in three categories. First in rebounds (136), Assists (86), and blocks (17). She was second on the team with 84 steals.
