North Mahaska’s girls took to Sigourney Golf Club Thursday afternoon with temperatures in the 30s and intermittent wind and rain and placed second to host Sigourney. The hosts carded a 207 while North Mahaska notched 220.
Montezuma was third in the triangular with a 228.
Montezuma’s Izzy Roorda carded an 11-over par 46 for medalist honors and North Mahaska’s Aly Steil shot a 48 to earn runnerup.
North Mahaska’s other three golfers shot in the 50s. Avary Westercamp and Lacey Campbell each shot a 57 and Elise Westercamp shot 58.
Sigourney was paced by Emma Hammes with a 48 and Addie Tremmel shot a 49. Lana Thomas and Krista Sellers each shot 55.
Behind Roorda was Karlee Knust with a 56, Kylee Larmore 61 and Claire Ereslius with a 65.
North Mahaska traveled to Marengo for the Iowa Valley Invitational Friday and placed second. Information from the meet is limited. Steil earned another runnerup spot with a 46.
North Mahaska scored 258 and Lynnville-Sully shot a 287. No other team scores were available.
Behind Steil was Campbell with a 65, A. Westercamp 71 and E. Westercamp 76.
The girls will play at South Iowa Cedar league West event at Brooklyn on Thursday.
